“The stability of allowing services into my home will allow me to go back to work, have a viable income. Now I will change lives like someone helped me change my life.”
After experiencing domestic violence, Kendra and her son who has autism went into a shelter. SUS helped them move into an apartment.

It’s not just about getting their nails done together. Best Buddy Patricia (left) has discovered that fostering a friendship with Elizabeth (right) has changed her enormously. She appreciates the precious moments of life just a little bit more now.

When Shawn came out of service he was homeless and unemployed but already had his mind set on going back to school. Then we gave him a job supervising not only unemployed and homeless veterans but also people with Hep C and HIV.

After we trained Noel how to do basic urban farming he felt confident enough to try out working with members of the public in the retail sector. He now works at Home Depot where, in addition to cleaning parking lots and throwing out garbage he enjoys helping customers by helping them unload heavy purchases and returning their shopping carts to accessible locations.
